With-Profits Health Check Service

If you hold a With Profits Bond, Pension or Endowment, this site will help you review your savings plan. Our With Profits Health Check service includes analysis and Independent Financial Advice from experts in with-profits.

We offer independent, impartial and informed advice on all issues related to with-profits, whether it's advice specific to your policy or general issues such as whether to accept a reattribution offer or a proposed scheme of arrangement.

Miles Hendy ACII APFS, head of With Profits analysis for Fraser Heath Financial Management has 14 years knowledge and experience from working with actuaries, marketing and sales teams within two of the UK's leading With Profits companies. As a Chartered Financial Planner with a further six years' experience helping clients plan their finances, the information within this website, our guide and our reports comes from an experienced and qualified specialist in this field.

We pride ourselves that our service focuses on providing you with a thorough analysis and balanced advice. Some with-profits policies are extremely valuable and worth a lot more than you would get back if you cashed in or transferred away. Other with-profits policies can have valuable guarantee features that you should exercise; while many others unfortunately represent very poor value. We can help you discover whether you have the good, the bad or a golden egg.

To discuss your policy and to find out how we can help, please call Miles on 01454 327788 or email miles@fraserheath.co.uk.

Video: With-Profits Management Can Diminish Returns

The volatility in stock markets over the past two years has highlighted one of the main factors that can diminish returns to with-profits policyholders compared to other types of investment. When asset values fall, liabilities don't. As a result, volatile assets such as company shares may need to be sold to ensure that the fund remains solvent. Shares can be bought back when asset values improve, by which time prices are higher. This video aims to explain this feature of with-profits policies.
